Key equipment
Selenium system
The centrotherm photovoltaics Se-System consists of the atmospheric pressure deposition equipment for selenium and the inline furnace for activating the complete CIGS (Copper Indium Gallium Diselenide) absorber film. The system is completed by internal automated handling tools of the glass substrates and the exhaust treatment system for recovering any excess selenium. The system is integrated in a turnkey production line for CIGS-PV modules with conversion efficiencies of at least 12% in glass-glass thin film modules.
- Glass size up to 1100x1400 mm²
- Production cycle time 60 seconds
- No toxic gases used
- Atmospheric process without expensive vacuum pumps
- Isothermal annealing with precision of + 2°K
- Rapid formation of a pure single phase of chalcopyrite (CIGS) in < 60 seconds.
Sputter equipment
Our sputter equipment is used for the deposition of the front (Zincoxide) and metal back contact (Molybdenum) as well as the absorber film (Copper-Indium-Gallium) on the glass substrate. The inline sputter equipment is based on the approved technology of reactive and non-reactive sputter deposition and is available for various coating systems and substrate sizes.
